Small Signal Operation

When an AC voltage is applied to the base of a transistor an AC voltage appears across the base emitter diode. This produces the sinusoidal variation.

A transistor is a semiconductor device used to amplify electronic signals. It is composed of semiconductor material usually with at least three terminals for connection to an external circuit
